To ensure you are taking the most accurate measurements, use a fabric tape measure. Make sure you’re relaxed and stand up with good posture. Use a mirror to ensure your fabric tape is in the correct place, or ask someone to help you. Here’s how you take the three main measurements:

  • Bust: Relax your arms by your sides. Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Waist: Measure the narrowest part of your natural waist.
  • Hips: With your feet together, measure the widest part of your hips.

Your selected dress size should be chosen based on the largest measurement.  For example, if you measure 36-29-40 in the bust, waist and hips, you will need a dress in size 10.
